Title: A Textbook of Advanced Practical Physics Vol. 2 (New Edition)
About the Book: The book ‘A Textbook of Advanced Practical Physics’ Vol. 2 has been written in order to cater the need of undergraduate students of IInd and IIIrd year of all Indian Universities. While preparing the manuscript, all practical difficulties of the students have been taken into account. The theory relating to every experiment has been dealt fully so as to be sufficient to prepare the student for viva-voce. The experiments are divided into two groups: Group A – Optics and Group B – Electricity and Electronics. The procedure to perform any experiment is written in steps so that one can proceed very easily. To avoid any complication in recording the observations, most appropriate tables which explain the sequence of the method are given. Accuracy of measurements which plays vital role in experimental physics has been dealt as Appendix part A: at the end of the book. Various physical constants and Physical tables are given as Appendix part B. This book has been written independently on the basis of my own experience, however I have been benefited by many standard books on the subject. Also I have taken due account of advice and suggestion from my colleagues and students. I am thankful to my publishers for their encouragement. Suggestions for the improvement of the book from the students and fellow teachers will be gratefully welcomed and acknowledged.
